About

So why LeapFrog?? Well, the French and France is a country we love to hate- kindly nicknamed ‘The Frogs!’. But we all have these romantic notions of ‘la belle vie’ and go there for our holidays. We wanted to have a closer look at this country thanks to the help of two local ‘Frogs’.

We also thought that to some degree thanks to air travel, you never really realise the massive distances you cover and the change of people and scenery as you slowly ‘leapfrog’ from one location to the next, from one side of the world to the other.

So, we decided to do it like this: The 2 French ‘Frogs’ will give the ‘Kiwis’ an insider’s view of their country, their quirks, and their culture while the kiwis react and comment during a month-long road trip of France. Together, we will cover one massive trip to the other side of the world Lyon-London-Wellington for a summer Christmas, so the Kiwis can show the Frogs how things are done ‘down under’. Our 7-month overland voyage across half the world to NZ will include traversing France, into Eastern Europe, the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia via trains and buses, and the North and East coast of Australia by car. No big budget, no support crew- just real travelling and our travel stories!

How will we behave as a team, with our different qualities, strengths, weaknesses, in French and in English, Frogs Vs Kiwis?

All of our stories will be captured on our little Sony HD camera, so check out the video section regularly. Our blog will also cover the good points, advice, and the pitfalls of travelling across the world.
